07.04.2016 4th of July in Scotland

Hello Family and Friends! Happy 4th of July!! One of the weirdest things about being in Scotland over the 4th of July is that I never realized just how patriotic people from the US are. Scottish people are patriotic but Americans are just insane. Haha.
Anyway, yesterday was moves call. Sister Six and I will be staying in Dundee together! Which is amazing. We won’t know for sure though till next week considering my track record with moves calls. haha. I am so happy to stay in Dundee. It’s a weird, funky little place but it’s become home and I love it.
We have seen so many miracles this week. We were able to go down to Edinburgh this week to be on exchanges with Sister Stapley and Sister Paxman. Sister DeMille was there as well but she goes home tomorrow. Which is super sad because she’s been out here my whole mission and I’ve been on more exchanges with her than with anyone else but I am so happy for her.
When we were in Edinburgh, we weren’t planning on seeing Paul and Kirsten (the couple I visited when I served in Edinburgh) but we ran into them on our way home!!!! It was an amazing miracle and I was so happy to see them.
Sister Six and I have seen so many amazing miracles this week. We met a guy named Mitchell this week. When we met him and started talking to him, he said that our beliefs are the things that have been missing in his life. He came to church with us on Sunday and it was fast and testimony meeting. He got up and actually bore his testimony in church about how meeting the missionaries and starting to learn about the gospel was filling the hole in his life he didn’t even know was there. He is absolutely amazing.
I am so happy to hear how all of you are doing. Can’t wait to see pictures and stories of celebrating the 4th of July!!
Love you all!

So we have lots and lots of pictures with these little statues. They just put them out everywhere around Dundee and there are about 40 of them so everytime we see one, we take a picture with it.... haha

  1. The 4th wasn’t the same in Omak this year. The tribe would not allow fireworks at the Stampede Grounds, there were so many disapointed. We flew the flags around the yard and watched the 4th of July celebration from Washington DC.
We are so glad to see how happy you are and how well you are doing.
Will see you when you come back to Omak to get released from your mission.
